You can get at the shutter mechanism with very little disassembly, just by removing the casting around the film gate. First, though, you have to remove the black yarn light trap in the groove where the back goes in: it's glued in, and it makes the pieces stick together.

With practice, replacing the ribbons in a Contax is a not-at-all-unpleasant evening's work.
